Attendance & PTO Request Policy

Attendance Policy
Attendance is an essential job function in a manufacturing environment.
Call-In Requirement
  • Call: (972) 479-1188 EXT 1020
  • Must call at least 30 minutes before shift
  • Failure to properly notify = unexcused absence
No Call / No Show
  • 1 No Call/No Show = Final Warning
  • 2 No Call/No Shows = Immediate Termination
8-Point Attendance System
  • 0.5 point = Late
  • 1 point = Absence
Discipline Thresholds
  • 4 points = Verbal warning
  • 6 points = Written warning
  • 7 points = Final warning
  • 8 points = Termination
Point Reduction
  • 1 point is removed every 30 days without an occurrence

Important Notes
  • Attendance policies are enforced consistently
  • An absence may be excused and not result in a point if a valid doctor’s note confirming inability to work is submitted within 48 hours of returning to work
  • Failure to follow call-in procedures may result in discipline up to and including termination, even if the absence would otherwise be excused.
  • Patterns of absenteeism or tardiness, even below termination thresholds, may result in discipline.
  • The company reserves the right to bypass steps and terminate employment based on severity or business needs
PTO Request Policy
  • All PTO requests must be submitted through Gusto
  • PTO must be approved prior to taking time off
  • Unapproved absences will result in attendance points
Notice Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 weeks’ notice is required for requests of 3 or more consecutive days
  • A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for requests of 1–2 days
