Job Title: Mat & Backing Production Associate                                                   Department: Mat and Backing

Reports to: Mat & Backing Department Lead                                                         Effective Date: 08/18/2022

Job Summary:

Primarily responsible for the timely, accurate and safe cutting of customer ordered mat boards and foam board backings, using the computerized mat cutting tables.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manage the mat board and foam board backing order work queues efficiently and timely, notifying team lead immediately with any issues affection order queue.
• Cut mat board and foam backing board to the correct size based on the order using computerized cutting tables
• Responsible for appropriate units per hour of production, and for processing items in correct order.
• Quality control and accuracy of all units produced.
• Build mat sample kits.
• Manage and minimize scrap.
• Keep common areas clean and safe.
• Any other duties assigned.

• Must be able to accurately use a ruler and do basic math.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Must be comfortable using computers.
• Proficient in English.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years related experience required.
• Able to pass a background check.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand on feet for 6 to 8 hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
